What is this place and how do I play?

What is this?
This is a literate role playing game. There are tons of them. This one in particular allows you to role play horses on an island. As I said before, there are TONS of literate rpgs, one for just about anything you can think of! Want to join a literate rpg but have no interest in horses? Please message me and I'll try to direct you to a literate rpg you may be more interested in.

How do I play?
Simple. First you read the rules << click. Then you make a character. Post your new character's statistics here. << click After that feel free to post where ever you like. When you make a post all you do is write out the actions/ feelings/ or whatever else you want to express about the character! There are examples everywhere! read through a few. A quick example would be:

Jill paced around the shore, unsure of where she was. It wasn't long ago when she was on a ship but after the storm she found herself on an island. Wondering if she was alone she called out to others and waited for a reply.

As you role play more your post will become more complex and a lot better than my example!

Is this a Beginner, Intermediate, or Advanced Roleplay?
None, we allow everyone on the site. We don't believe someone shouldn't be allowed to join because they're "not good enough". Everyone has to start somewhere, we welcome everyone to join Cimoron Island. =)


What is power playing?
Although you can role play any action you CANNOT role play what other people's characters are doing, or say that you hurt them. Only the other player can confirm you hurt their horse or express what their character is doing.

Example of power playing:

Jill was angry at the other horse's comment so she bit him and saw blood trickle from the wound.

If your playing Jill you can't say what happened to the other horse because your not its player. Here is the correct way to write that:

Example of non power playing:

Jill was angry at the other horse's comment so she tried to bite him and hoped to see blood.

This way you give the other player the opportunity to decide if their character should get hurt or not.

Your horse is not invincible though.


What are Cimoron Coins or CC?

CC is an abbreviation for Cimoron Coins. You earn coins from doing multiple things (see shop home page). You can also earn coins by advertising ( 90 cc per ad ), offering services to members, and you can donate real money for CI coins (this is NOT necessary to play the game).

Is this game free?
TOTALLY FREE! You can donate real money for coins but you definitely can get by without doing that.

What gender horse should I join with:
Either one! It's whatever you prefer.

How can I get a Cimoron Horse:
You can buy one off a member or at the Shop. Also if you breed your horse to a Cimoron Horse the foal is a Cimoron Horse. Post a wanted message in the Breeding Ads board to see if anyone will let you adopt or breed to theirs.

How do I get a foal?
When the season says "Foaling: Yes" that means you can breed your horse. First, find another horse for your horse to breed with. You can make a thread in the Breeding Ads board for help. After that make a thread and role play the 2 horses together for AT LEAST 3 post each. After that post stats at Foaling Fields and our staff will make you a foal. It's that easy! NO GRAPHIC BREEDING ALLOWED!

What is the Shop and how often does it come?

The Shop is automatic and always open with basic items avialable. Every couple weeks rare items such as potions are restocked.


Why are most people only posting 300 words?
Its almost a trend on CI to make shorter posts. Of course, you're welcome to make your posts any length (we encourage improvement)! Are we newbs? No, many of us have been around 7+ years and can write a post of any length (but length doesn't guarantee quality). We like action on CI and threads move much faster when people make shorter post since they aren't as time consuming. When people make huge 3000 word posts, threads move slower or are never completed. That is why many members on here prefer 300-800 word post, so they can get the thread and plot moving. Sure they could make 1000-3000 word posts, anyone can, but many people prefer to keep it short and sweet unless in formal battle. Some people do make longer posts on here and that is welcome as well.
